Refill Hope was created from a simple belief: access to clean water should never be a privilege, it’s a human right.
Driven by passion
Across our communities, two urgent problems exist side by side: a growing lack of access to free, clean drinking water for unhoused and underserved individuals, and increasing environmental pollution from litter and single-use plastics. Refill Hope plans to bridge that gap by turning community care into community action.
We plan to install refillable water stations in high-need areas, providing free, clean drinking water while encouraging environmental stewardship through a litter exchange model. Individuals will be able to receive water by contributing a bag of collected litter, helping clean neighborhoods while meeting a basic human need with dignity. For those unable to participate physically, donations allow supporters to fund water access directly, ensuring no one is excluded.
Refill Hope is built on the values of dignity, sustainability, and mutual aid. We believe solutions should empower, not shame, and that small, repeatable actions can create lasting change. Every refill will reduce plastic waste. Every bag of litter will improve our shared spaces. Every donation will help expand access to clean water where it’s needed most.
This is more than a water program.
